It’s always a stressful time when you are planning your own wedding. There are so many things to think about; the date, the guests, the location, the design of your dress, the décor, and the list goes on. One thing that is usually as important as the dress is the hair. It is what will shape your face on the day and says a lot about the type of person you are. There are many things to consider when deciding on the hair do for the big day.
Firstly, you have to style your hair according to its length and thickness. Long, thick hair looks great in curls or in a tightly pulled back bun or topknot. There are also lovely braids and French buns that can be used to keep the hair away from the face. My favourite is the messy fish tail tucked into a French bun to one side. (See top right image) It is elegant, yet not so manicured as some wedding hair dos.
I, for one, love hair accessories and since I have just cut all my hair off I have fun with headbands, clips, headbands and half up-half down styles. The flower wreath depicts a lovely seventies vibe or a diamante headband or accessory adds glam to your hairstyle.
There is so much inspiration on the web for styling hair where you can find quick, step-by-step guides to styling all sorts of hair types. Why not search for a few styles you like and have a girly night in where you experiment with different hairstyles? Tt might help with the decision making when it comes to styling your hair on the big day.
